I get arthroscopic surgery on my shoulder this week and will be layed out on the sofa (something I really can not stand for other than a good football Sunday from time to time)

anyway I am asking for your short list of DVD suggestions please to keep me sane. Too bad Coral magazine doesn't come out this week

oh and if you would all cross your fingers that my students actually have heard a word I have said about how to keep my two tanks running while I am gone LOL

October Sky-- Jake G. (guy from Brokeback mountain)--Drama
Baseketball-- Matt Stone and Trey Parker (Guys that make SouthPark-- Comedy-- well not exactly good but pretty funny.
The Last Boyscout-- Bruce Willis and Damon Wayons
Not another teen movie-- comedy
Top Secret-- the guys that brought you Airplane-- with Val Kilmer (Comedy)
Willow-- also Val Kilmer (adventure)
Richochet-- John Lithgow and Denzel Washinton- Cop type of drama.
Running on Empty-- Judd Hirsch and River Phoenix (Drama)
Man in the Moon-- Life of Andy Kaufmann (Jim Carrey)
Nothing to Lose-- Tim Robbins and Martin Lawrence
Bat 21-- Danny Glover and Gene Hackman

Some of my favorite movies that are more mainstream-- I can watch again and again.
The Patriot (Mel Gibson), Shawshank Redemption, Enemy of the State,

If you are looking for something to pass the time-- I recommend the computer game Civilization--- I haven't played since Civ 2 but it and the first one were great.

And I love Grand THeft Auto games-- GTA3 and GTA: Vice City are the best IMO...

Sahara is a good one.
Mr. and Mrs. Smith is out there, but entertaining.
I second Dwayne on the Star Wars series, especially episode 3
 
hmmmm... anybody need Laser Discs??? Maybe off topic... Maybe not.... I have the original Star Wars boxed set....:cool:
