Okay, I'll also provide some fedback on non-sponsers, to see who would make good future sponsers.
I would have to recommend Rod's Reef. Rod has a great deal of knowledge, terrific deals on equipment and SPS and the best food around, period. The store is about a 40 minute drive from Rockford, but well worth a visit. Make sure you call ahead to ensure that he is there.
Online retailers:
Saltwater fish.com is a reasonable place to purchase livestock from, primarily fishes. I purchases a large volume of snails (200) from them. The Astrea and Cerith snails I received from them were all healthy with no DOA. The fish were all smaller and I had real difficulty with the Blue Reef Chromis I received, as they were only 1/2" long. They were blasted all over my tank.
Reefermadness.com is an excellent SPS coral specialty store. In general, I have gotten many unique or rare corals from them. Shipping is free over $200. However, I have not had very good luck with the largest (8"+) specimens I have received from them. 3 orders, three died within 24 hours, one each order. They have given me full credit on each of the dead corals, so I cannot complain. Chris and Kristine are excellent to work with.
Deltec. Dave Thompson has been wonderful to work with. No complaints on my skimmer, I will be purchasing additional Deltec equipment in the coming months, especially after my 4 week trip to Philadelphia. (Don't tell my wife)
Aquatic Eco Systems is a good store for larger tank items, but probably is not a place someone with a 50 gallon setup needs to order from. Their prices can be high, but they do have excellent knowledge of aquaculture systems.
If you have any additional questions, please ask.
