Hey guys,
I have a lightly stocked 12 gallon nano cube. My question for you all is,
1- is my alkalinity ok.
2- how would you guys recommend raising mag levels.

My parameters are ;

Calcium- 445
Alkalinity- 8.4
Mag- 1150
Ammonia-0
Nitrite-0
Nitrate-16
Phosphate- undetectable

Your Alk is fine. I'd try to keep it stable if possible but dont worry about changing it up and down too much think 7.5-8.5 is good for coral growth, you can obviously run higher if you'd like but stability is key. As for mag you can mix up a solution and use this calculator here https://www.bulkreefsupply.com/reef-calculator to determine how much to dose. I wouldn't dose more than 50ppm mag (for your tank size) in a 24 hour period.

Now to keep this stable (ie. When i do a water change) should i dose the mix before adding it to the tank, that way i don't effectively drop the mag levels
