Noob return pump question

Hey folks! Brand new to the hobby of reef keeping and have just set up a 63L (16.5g) nano reef tank. The tank came with a flat head nozzle for the return pump back into the tank. However, I can't seem to get the nozzle to fit on the pipe that's flowing water into the tank? It seems like it should be able to just snap on and I've pushed on it quite hard but am worried about damaging the back side of the tank. Am I just being dense? Should I push harder or is there a proper way to attach this?

Could you take a photo of the fitting / let us know the make & model of tank?

There a bit of a pain trying to connect them specially if you have 1 or 2. Try squeezing evenly together out of the tank, then re install back to the tank. You could also purchase a t split & extend or stick withsingle return nozzle.

loc-line pushes together very hard, if in deed thats what you have.
