I bought a T. Squasmosa clam and was trying to keep him under PC lighting in my 90 gallon tank. He didnt like it much and started to retract his mantle but still opened up pretty good. I just recently bought a 150 MH pendant for my tank and have it hanging over him ( the clam is in the top 1/3rd of the tank on a flat rock) he opened a bit more but still isnt looking great. I dont want him to die and I hope I didnt already hurt him. I have been feeding DT phytoplankton as well and my Ca levels are at 550 so I was hoping that I was only lacking in lighting. Does anyone have any suggestions to help me out on this?
Thanks in advance,
