Noobie with Glowing rock.

New guy on the block. Just got my 29 gallon bow front set up and running along with my 40 gallon which both are going to be set up as reef tanks. I am brand new to the hobby and already have a question. I set the 40 gallon tank up tonight and when I turned the lights off one of the rocks was glowing bright green. Nothing online has told me what this is. Can someone please tell me. uploadfromtaptalk1445492650596.jpguploadfromtaptalk1445492666361.jpguploadfromtaptalk1445492672466.jpguploadfromtaptalk1445492680060.jpg

The first 3 pictures show the rock glowing and the last picture is of the rock normal lighting. I might need to use a better camera to really show how much this rock is truly glowing because these pictures don't do justice.

Either something is bio-luminescent or fluorescing light. I wouldn't be concerned about it... other than the fact that it may fad away as your tank cures and matures. The real trick here, would be to figure out how to make more of whatever it is and sell it! LOL!

In for the answer. That's cool.

Could it just be some species of phosphorescent algae?
