Yup, with an alita 40 that has a bleed valve. Just from the looks of what the bk is pulling out of the system I just did not want all my time, money, and livestock hanging in the balance on a $3000 piece of equipment. I had to skim very wet to get anything which really messes with my salinity. I am probably not patient or skilled enough to deal with the requirments to get the volcano running.

that sucks....at least you were able to right the problem long before your tank was stocked with all of the nice expensive corlas and fish that I am positive will be going in there.

And my last point is I don't think I should have to have a lot of patience or skills to run a 3k skimmer. The BK was so simple my 3 yo nephew could operate it.

I had a BK 250 int when they first came out and man it was amazing. Me and my husband couldnt believe the diffrence and we owned just about everything there was out there. We have the new KZ and this is amazing as well. Them germans know there skimmers lol

BK 300 SM will be here next week. Once that is in I will load the tank up with corals...I have added all the corals that were in my frag tanks and they all seem to be happy. Not much will happen this weekend as I have Homecoming for by beloved University!!

Go Bison!!

Being sober at homecoming would be a TERRIBLE way to represent your fraternity!! I can't make it this year, so have a couple extra (or more) for me & Chantel!!

I won't be sober...

My BK 250 is absolutely kicking "you know what"...It has filled the cup every other day and its dark skimmate too...I am very happy with the results so far!

We came back from 20 points to score 35 unanswered and crushed them! And yes, I think I had a beer for the whole town! It was an awesome day...

Here is a few pictures of the BK in action. The first picture is the foam head when the skimmer was 24 hours old. The second is foam head from 7 hours after a full cleaning and the skimmer is 9 days old. The bay you can see on the left has the rock from the two frag tanks which will be removed when the 300 comes this week. There is absolutely no turbulence in the neck of the skimmer and the whole chamber is filled with tiny bubbles.

My buddy and I finally got the time to get the frag tanks moved more to the middle of the wall so access is much easier. The calcium, kalk, and media reactor for the frag tank will be on the left hand side. The top tank will be the secondary frag tank when the first one overflows or overgrows and will be a hospital/quarantine tank for now.

Please excuse the mess and I am hoping by the end of the month to have everything re-plumbed, cleaned up, programmed, and orderly.

One other item to note. My ORP has increased in the 9 days from 340's to over 430. I attribute 99% of that to the BK as nothing else has changed.

It's good to see things looking up in your build. Now with the skimmer situation out of the way, the build should progress positively.

Pure sledge...This skimmer is so ultra effcient I can leave BIG daddy in the box for now!!

The frag tank was re-plumbed tonight with Sch 80. Looks much better and more professional.

The frag tank will be the lower tank for now and I have all the equipment for the tank on the left side...Fits nice and neat. will try and get that hooked up in the next couple days. The top tank will be hospital/quarantine for now until the frag tank overflows and needs more room to grow.

Also, I did get the new media reactor plumbed (the single chamber will go on the frag tank).

The the new spot for the calcium reactor and you can see the refugium.
