The Long Island Reef Association is holding NERAC IV on Saturday March 21st. It's a day long conference with an optional evening banquet. We have several excellent speakers:

Dr. Yehuda Benyahu - Dendronepthya Corals.

Dr. James Cervino - Coral thermal bleaching and diseases, the links between global warming and pollution.

Todd Gardner - Getting cultured: A guide to growing your own plankton.

In addition to the speakers, we also have several vendors that will be present. When it comes to venues for an aquarium conference, this one can not be beat, Atlantis Marine World. If you stay for the banquet, you not only get to eat some of the finest food to be had at such an event (it's actually good food :D ), but you get to eat in front of a well matured 20,000 gallon reef tank.

March 21st is coming soon, so don't waste time, sign up now.

The top raffle prize is a chance to snorkel in the 20,000 gallon reef tank.

Hey folks,
NERAC is upon us, so if you haven't signed up, now is the time.

To make it a bit more interesting, I'm offering up a new item for the raffle:

A Snorkel In The Reef Tank

So, if you wanna get wet the night of NERAC during the cocktail hour/ pre dinner, bring your bathing suit. I'll provide the wetsuit and mask if needed. The snorkel will be a surface (no diving) swim in the tank.

I have never offered this before, and it will probably be some time before it comes up again.

So, as the saying goes, you gotta be in it to win it.
Hope to see you all there.
