Northwest Florida Reefers?

Panhandle reefers rocks! Awesome club site. works great! I agree it would be nice to have more meet up, I have a 3 bay warehouse we could use for a frag swap sometimes, you would just need to supply your own tanks
 
panhandle reefers ............. anyway is there anyone on this site that has rights to that site? i have tons of sps to sell but cant get on.... please pm me
 
Thats one of many common problems with the site Touring. You're better off posting it on craigslist as I dont believe there are many active members on that site.
 
Sucks as I am just getting my tank setup. I was hoping to connect with some locals to buy/swap frags a little cheaper than local retail stores.
 
i have a orange setosa frag and some other frags that someone can have, free of course. in crestview.
 
Hi Guys, I'm also located in Crestview and we have a 120 gal display tank with mostly LPS's, love collecting Zoas/Pallys and Acans. We have been in the hobby for several years Wife does the water changes and I mess up the tank with the aquascaping, can't keep my hands out of it.
 
Anyone prepping for the possible storm coming through?? I've got a deep cycle battery charging. Small power inverter to run a pump on a timer. Have a small system. Only thing I'm really worried about is the heat.. Losing power here like opal was miserable sleeping at night and don't know how I can keep the tank cool without ac.
 
I am not conviced it will be coming to the FWB/Destin area so I have not done alot of prep yet. I did fill the car and truck with fuel and filled a couple gas cans to run the generator. I am still in the process of setting up my tank so no worries there for me yet.

I hear you though on not sleeping well with no AC. When Ivan came through I bought a small window unit AC for the bedroom. I can close of just that room and it will cool it down in about an hour so I can sleep good. Just crank it up about an hour before bed and all it good.
 
Does not seem to be much of a storm but I will certainly fill up a few gas cans for generator fuel. Greatest fear is to lose power for several days and kill my tank.
 
Ah go enjoy your perfect weather and choice picks on coral mr California! We'll keep sweatin in the south. :) haha I lived in San Diego for years. The surf and weather are the only thing I miss.

There's a guy on the panhandle board selling a bunch of sps frags at pretty good prices. Think he's located in Fwb . How rare? Don't really know.
 
unfortunatly i cant post on that site lol. he has nice zoas i guess, just not into that.

if rich comes thru ill just need a ice/fire and ill be set untill i get back from afghanistan.....i wonder if they have nice corals out there.....
 
Not sure how to do it but why cant we start a Northwest FL forum here in the club area? Looks like alot of other clubs/areas use RC as the host for theirs.
 
yea thats strait, you probably have to contact a site admin to add a club. what are you going to call it???

How about emerald coast reefers??
 
I contacted the admins about setting up a location in the club forums on RC. I got the info back and found out what we need to do. It is not a big deal other than I need a second person to volunteer to be a point of contact for it. They require 2 points of contact and I can be one. If you are willing to do this they just need your account name and email address. Let me know if someone else is willing to step up and lets get a place created here that will make it easy for us to share ideas and frags.
