Norwegian 140g sps tank

Thank you :) I have had a little problem with Cyano, but now it's slowly dissapearing. I set up this tank in the end of february 2011.

Here are some more pictures.

The skimmer works :) 24 hours production.

Feeding a Tubastrea sp. with mysis.

One months growth.

This was imported as a Montipora Confusa. But I'm not shure if that's the right ID yet.

Montipora Danae.

Green Montipora Digitata.

Montipora sp. "Pokerstar". Maybe a Danae. Not shure yet.

More pictures of the Pokerstar Monti. This from above.

The Pokerstar Monti has red/orange polyps on the sides. Could this be a rainbow?:spin2:

ITS OFFICIAL! your setup is clean and sweet and i love it! jus sayin :)

very well done, and i love me some blue jaws ;)

Nice setup! Funny that, my Naso is also short tempered. Harasses my large Regal and Yellow Tang. Beautiful Regal Angel. Do the 2 Triggers fight at all?

Thanks. My Naso harasses both of the Blue Throat Triggers:bum:

The two blue throat triggers did not like each other the first week. The female got a good beating as you can see on the fins on the picture. But they settled down after a couple of days. Now they go along well.

Beautiful setup! I had no idea triggers wouldn't harm corals.

Thank you. These triggers will not harm any corals. But they are known to eat small shrimps, small fish and snails.

This is an unkown Montipora. This is the coral that has shown the best growth so far.

This is a white-based Montipora with brown polyps.

Zoanthus colonies from above.

My Sixline wrasse was not very happy when I introduced a Macropharyngodon Negrosensis (black leopard wrasse).

This is an Acropora Hyacinthus. It is very similar to what some of you call "Red Planet".

This is also an Acropora Hyacinthus.

Green Montipora Capricornis.

Pink Montipora Capricornis.

I think this is an Acropora Desalwii.

Pink Milli.

Favites sp.

FTS (may 4th).

Here are some new photos.

Some Acropora frags.

Deepwater Acropora.

Acropora Turaki.

Montipora Setosa.

Montipora Australiensis.

Thank you diciple :)

Acropora sp. with blueish polyps.

Not shure which Acropora this is. Maybe a stag?

Unknown Acropora.

Montipora Undata?

Acropora Turaki, Acropora sp and Montipora Setosa. One of my favorite spots in the tank.

Cyphastrea Decadium.

I believe this is an Acropora Solitaryensis.

Hi maskinsmyg,

Your tank is very clean and the water is crystalline!
The pictures are excellent. A show. :celeb1::celeb1:
What are you using to combat AEFW?
Best Regards!

Thank you.

When I found AEFW I only had a couple of Acroporas. I took them all out and dipped in TM CoralCure Pro, then I fragged the Acros and threw away the ones that had eggs on them. Then I had them in QT for 8 weeks. I dipped them 4 times each in the quarantine time. I changed the water in the QT every time I dipped. And then I finally dipped them a last time and introduced them to the display tank. I have not seen any more flatworms or eggs since the second dip :)

Now I dip every coral that are going in to the system. If you use Coral Cure you should leave the coral in the dip for 10-15 minutes. Then shake the coral well so flatworms or other pest fall to the bottom. Then it's good to go :)

Edit: I also have a sixline wrasse and a black leopard wrasse that may eat fw just in case. But I doubt any of them will.

Do you guys prefer the thumbnails or that I just post the big picture in the thread?

Here's an Acropora Kimbeensis frag. The green color is sick on this one.

Another one of the A. Hyacinthus.

I think this is a Montipora Danae. Similar to a Superman, but dull colors.

Funny it's the opposite in my situation, my naso is the most passive fish in my tank.

I'm having problems with my bluethroat pair and looks kinda like what you were having. My male bluethroat will actually go up to my female and start to take bits out of him!! I feel bad for her, but hoping they get along because having a pair of blue's swimming together is amazing! Should I be worried that the male might take her out or do you think they'll eventually get along. I've seen pair before and never thought they would fight, but seeing you had a problem before make it a things easier! thanks

How long have they been arguing? When I introduced the female to the tank they argued about 7 days before thing settled down. My male also bit the female. It looked kinda nasty, but she only damaged her fins.

When they start swimming upwards in circles it's definetly worth it:wave:

Thank you, Monties are my favorite to :)

Get outta here yours swim in circles together!!!:eek2: That's incredible I hope for mine to do that one day. What a site that must be!

I introduced my blue's together I heard some grunting noise and never thought anything of it. The male started to become very aggressive and they would quarrel. When I saw this I immediately took her out out of fear should would be killed. She's been in my sump and I actually put her back in my tank today before I ever saw your thread, came across it today. His been going at her today, I hope she settles back in fine. :uhoh2: Nice to hear from someone with the same pair!

Thank you. Just let them find out who's the boss, and they will hopefully settle down in a couple of days. You may also try to have a mirror in front of the aquarium, maybe the male blue throat will attack his reflection instead :)
