Not Cyano?

Tank Params: 0 Nitrates, 0 Phosphates (obviously false due to algae in tank)
Haven't tested mag/alk/calcium because the kids are hanging all over me

Anyways so this red substance appeared about a week ago. Thought it might be cyano because since it is in the direct flow of the power head it flaps around in the current and so it can't be red coralline.

However, it is more bright red than cyano and lacks any sort of bubbles. It also is only concentrated here and one more smaller area on another rock..

What do you guys think it is? Thanks!

Does it look like that much, I would siphon it out with a small hose.

I considered that yes but I was worried the bacteria would spread throughout the tank while siphoning and just show up later? Thought starving it could be helpful

Nah. Syphon it out. Blackouts and other drastic measures are for cyanobacteria problems that cover the whole tank.
