not eating ?

I have a pair of Redi seahorses. They are in a 25 gal tank with 1 firefish and some snails and hermit crabs. There are lots of tube worms and some bristle worms which I am trapping. The tank was set up a year before I got the horses. I have had them since Oct. They have been doing very well. The tank levels have been stable. 3 weeks ago they bred but the eggs didn't make it. They fell to the bottom of the tank. I posted a question about it. Since then the male has gone into seclusion! He was staying in his cave and didn't come out. He stopped eating. The female was out and about and then she stopped eating. They would go after it but not snick it. I was told it probably was weak snick After a week I tried a fresh water bath but she was too stressed in it so I lowered the salinity in the tank. After a couple of days he was out and about more and would eat the odd shrimp. I feed frozen misis.I also tried soaking it in garlic. She was always active doing her dance every afternoon as usual and would be searching the bottom and rock cavities. But I never saw her snick. Two weeks after the 1st breeding they bred again! They lost a few eggs this time.I was very surprised as they are not eating when I feed them. It will be 3 weeks tomorrow that this started and a week after the second breeding. The male is eating more but not up to his usual. They are waiting for me in the morning and come for the food. He does eat a few. The female is still very active but I haven't seen her snick.I was going to start increasing the salinity on Tues. That will be 2 weeks. Does anyone have any suggestions? As they bred I'm assuming they can't be feeling too bad.

ok, so... other than not eating, what are they symptoms: does her mouth seem white colored? ummm, do you feed with a feeding dish, or just float the food out into the tank?

I would recommend feeding them out of a feeding dish if your not, just so you can tell how much is being eaten per feeding.

There seems to be no other symptoms. Her mouth is not white. She is still very active and comes over at feeding time. I haven't used a feeding dish but tried one this morning. I think it is too shallow as the shrimp just floated up and away. I'll look for something deeper and try and find a calm spot to put it. I usually turn off the filter when feeding.

if the shrimp are floating, how are you thawing them? if you thaw them in tank water, they will sink. ummm, trying to think of other things for ya... I'm empty

Thak you for your suggestions.I thaw them in tank water. They sink as long as the filters is off. ButWhen I turn it on they float away. I'm trying to find a spot that isn't affected by the filter. Would they breed if they are not happy? They definitely bred after courting for nearly an hour.
