Wait till he gets older, it's a really good thing to let kids have the knowledge of the reefs and the ocean, my daughter has learned a lot from our little tank, she has her own corals too. Our kids are the future and learning how fragile ecosystems are with first hand experiences is great for future conservationist and I am.

My 9 and 7 yr old are still somewhat interested in my tank but the 5 month old LOVES it. She will stare at it with me all night, lol.

Best thing I ever did was get my wife into the hobby. I went from one tank to three within a month.
