Not sure if this is serious or not

I just added fish to my tank after it being fishless for 4 months due to a velvet outbreak. It may have been ich but I went for a longer period in case it was velvet. The fish all died within 24 hours of symptoms appearing.

Anyway I added a fish 2 weeks ago and just added 2 more 3 days ago.

My yellow tail damselfish has a white patch on its head between its eyes. It's not really white but paler blue.

It does not have any salt like white grains, it is eating like a horse, not breathing rapidly, not hovering around the surface, not rubbing against anything and is very very active. I can't take a pic to post here because it is too fast to catch on film!

I checked water and the results are:

ammonia 0
nitrites 0.25 (may be less because the shade of blue on my API kit is much paler than the chart)
nitrates 0

The surprising thing is my ph. it is down to 7.8 from its usual 8.2.

I starting dosing with calcium last week and believe this may be the cause. I'm going to go to the LFS as soon as it opens for a pH buffer.

Can the low ph be causing these paler spots (from the higher acid) or should I QT this fish and start treating for ich?

This damselfish is really intimidated by the new clownfish and is staking out its territory. Could it have scraped itself or banged its head on the LR? One rock has this little cavern and it is constantly zipping in and out of it.

thanks for any help. I am still a newbie with less than 1 year experience at this.

nitrites 0.25 has to be 0

pH is fine

What kind of salt you are using?

Do you use UV sterilizer and ozone?

What about carbon and PO4 remover?

Ph is def not fine .i dont know if the PH will effect the fish in this manner of not but raising is a must before t does interfere with all around health of the fish.
