Not sure what to do...

I have a pair of tomato clownfish in a 20 gallon tank that I am wanting to get rid of soon, but the only place I can put them is in my 90 gallon tank. The problem is that I want to put 2 other clownfish in the 90 gallon this week, and obviously that wouldn't work. I would get rid of the clownfish, but they are the first two saltwater fish I have ever had... Im a bit stuck on what to do since im not wanting them in the bigger tank. Should I just move them into the 90 anyways and keep them instead? Ideas?

I tried to get a good picture but they swim so fast I couldn't get a clear shot. I'll keep trying though. As for fish for the 90, i was wanting either a pair of ocellaris clownfish, or a pair of black ocellaris clownfish.

I have one of each and they paired up immediately, in case you didn't know that was an option. Best of both worlds.

I have thought about doing that, but decided to go one way or the other. I got a few picture of them, but can't figure out how to upload them onto here. It's probably really easy to do, but i'm just to dumb to figure it out, lol.

Ok, I think I figured it out. (Please ignore the vast amount of algae in the tank, this is the reason I want them out of the 20. Small tank = never again)

I would keep them i upgraded a year ago from a 29 gallon bioube to what have now. My wife told me that she wanted the two clowns in the new tank. Happy wife happy wife

If you really do not want them maybe you can trade them in at the LFS for another pair that you like.

Based on the beginning knife back you either don't feed them enough or they are very old. Clownfish can get between 20 and 30 years old.

In general I would vote against returning them to a LFS - they hardly give a sh@$& about such fish and they will likely perish when exposed to the collection of diseases that are usually cultured in LFS systems.
I've seen that here at one of the LFSs with a likely wild or at least top notch black ocellaris pair, spawning no less! At iBluewater those kind of pairs go for hundreds of dollars, but the store got them for only $20. They put them into their brook infested system (the brook was btw imported from ORA with tank raised clownfish!) and the male didn't survive it. I wish I would have been there the day they got brought in.

If you want to give them away I would rather see to find a reefer who will care for them well.

They are only about 2 and a half years old, maybe 3. I got them when they were both really small. As far as feeding, I feed the tank twice a day and they are definitely well fed. I may go ahead and put them into the 90 and keep them instead of normal clowns. One question for that is that I have a trio of pajama cardinals as my first fish in the 90 that i've had for a few weeks, but since the clownfish have been alone so long, would there be aggression?

With cardinals, my experience has been that there won't be issues with the clowns.
