Cheers guys I was told it was a Fiji blue stripe when I bought it and I paid £35 for it, a bit steep for a clarki. But never mind thanks guys. Will have to be more carefull in future lol.

You absolutely got what you paid for, A. chrysopterus (aka: blue-stripe). Watch it closely early on as brook can hit these guys fast. Good luck, the yellow tailed variant is my favorite.

notice the tail stripe does not wrap all the way down, that is one way to tell them apart.

Thanks for the swift replies I feel a lot better now. I tried on several sites and found it really difficult to differentiate between the amphiprian as there are so many slight variations of the same fish as in the orange finned clown fish, there are even regional variations in colour.
