Do not forget to turn off your RO-DI unit before you go to bed. I woke up this morning to a flooded bathroom despite the blankets and towels that Gretchen lays on soaking up a lot of the water. This afternoon I go into my closet and find that the carpet is soaked and the ceiling is wet in a few places. I feel like an idiot. Where can I get Kent float valves?

I did the same as you. Luckily my tub was in the basement.

the worst i've done is over flowed my 5g bucket in basement.
think i spilled maybe 1g of water.

Don't feel too bad Chelsey. It could have been much worse. Many many years ago, while being distracted by huge family issues (divorce and custody and stuff) I left the RO run into the sump too long. about 23 hours too long. Having done a freshwater flush on a 75 gallon reef I know what an idiot feels like! Surprisingly my yellow tang and blue tail damsel and a few other actually survived but it was a mess. most of the inverts did not make it and boy did they get stinky. See, coulda been worse.

Chelsey- Don't feel bad! You know my story about leaving it on upstairs. The water ran down the vent and drained into the downstairs vents.

I flooded today too...got back from the dentist and was like "uh-oh"....but it has happened so many times that it is no big deal really....you pick up the pieces and move on....meanwhile you depend on evaporation as your friend.

I overflowed my 55 gallon drum this evening too!

What really makes me sound dumb is, I have a float switch sitting on the top of the drum, waiting to be installed!!!!!

Atleast my drums are only 3 feet from the floor drain in the basement.
