Can you explain more about the calcium reactor you use? I'm getting mixed advice of people saying to use a kalk doser..others say I have to shake the tank holding the shells if I use a Ca reactor. I need something relatively low maintenance. I'm trying to grow SPS but having difficulty keeping them alive. My Ca levels are 380 so I know I need to get it up to 420. Any help is appreciated.

Thank you! Sorry missed your post. I use to trim algae from the refugium once in two weeks. But now I got rid of the refugium as I can maintain low nutrients without it.
Not sure about sand size. I got 3 sand sifting stars.
