November's meeting is going to be early - Sunday November 9th @ noon. We have a special guest - Marc Levenson, the editor of RC's own Reef keeping magazine.

For all the details - go to Marc Levenson

Be sure to bring your CTARS card.

You might want to bring some extra money, we are planning a good raffle and Justin will have a bunch of stuff for sale too.

Also check out the Trade Thread and the CTARS Group Buys (you need to be a CTARS member to see these).

If you have an extra coral / frag laying around and would like to donate it, we would love to have it for our raffle.

No problem, my boss expects me to work so I can't always answer things real quick.

Tickets are $1 ea or 6 for $5.

The auctions will start at $5.

Hi, I'm not seeing the special group buys for this meeting on the CTARS site - I must be looking in the wrong place. The link just takes me to the bulletin board which doesn't list it.

You have to be logged in as a member to see the group buys/special section. Use the same username and password that you use to get to the members-only content on the CTARS site.

When you get to the CTARS forum, you will see a screen where you will have to log in...

Once you have logged in, your screen will now show the Members Only Specials...

Are non-members allowed to check it out??

If you are referring to the meeting, yes everyone is welcome. We ask non-members for a $5 donation.

If you are talking about the website, non members can look at some of it, but they can not post.

Harley,
You are more than welcome to make a donation to the raffle or auction. If you want to post it, that is fine, helps people know what they can win.

The meetings are very informal, with lots of small groups of people discussing whatever. Feel free to jump into any conversation that sounds interesting. Or just sit quietly and listen; there are people that do that, too. I'm not great in crowds of strangers either. At my first meeting about a year ago, I was buying something from a member so I had to ask around to find him. That was a great way to meet a few people and let them know I was new. Try it... come to the meeting and find me and I'll introduce you to a few other people.

Sounds cool. Im gonna try to make it.. as long as my new tank i set up yesterday is doin well and i get some stuff done around the house 2day, i should have the time to check it out. Thanks for the help
