Jack & Kathy, it was great meeting you, and really glad you enjoyed it, look forwarded to seeing more of you at future meetings, and ask all the questions you need to. I know I ask several myself.

It was a great meeting. Thanks to Tim and the rest of Fins for everything. For those of you who thought Dr. Tanner's talk was a little too academic, you should have seen it before I made revisions to it. His first talk was going to be 1 hour long and about 10X the level of the one he gave. I kept trying to tell him that we had people in the club with different types of background besides science, but I guess the arena we presented was just too far from what he is used to. Anyways, I have everyone enjoyed the talk anyways.

If there an electronic file or link to the talk Chris? I would love to read it.

I'll be "1/2 way to clinics" in a month so I've got 2 1/2 years left.

We really like it here. Not as many people, more lakes and rivers that aren't as crowded as the ones in Mid TN......and then there are the Smokies and the Big South fork. So more oppoutunities to get outside in general. The Vols also play here:)
Unfortunately with the Vet school being here there are also lots of vets so the market isn't the best.
Most of our friends are still back in Nashville though and I really like Mid TN as well.
We will either stay here or move back near Nashville.....or maybe somewhere else. We'll see:)

Chris

Cool deal, man. I really miss home (East TN) and love it there as well, but there are more opportunities here (ESPECIALLY in the audio field), so for now I'm here, but I may eventually move back... maybe to Cosby or something. :)

I'll see if I can get the powerpoint file from him. I'm positive that he won't mind sharing it. PM me your email address and I will send it as soon as I get it from him. Alot of it is pictures and graphs, so I don't know how much you could follow the talk, but I am sure that you can make some since of it. I can also send you the paper that Dr. Tanner and I recently wrote together on foam fractionation. Anyone else who wants these items can PM me with their email and I will make sure that everyone gets a copy.

Hey Kathy,
so far all are doing fantastic. I was concerned about our linkia yesterday. When we finally put him in after a long acclimation, he was put on the sand......within 20 minutes was up the glass and then sometime in the night cruised across the entire tank and hung himself over a tonga branch. It was quite funny. The next morning though he was off the branch upside down and in a place we could not reach him but other than the fact he was upside down looked ok until the diamond goby decided to dump a bunch of sand on one of his legs.....so I went to check on him again a few hours later and he had righted himself over and was moving along the sand looking pretty good so far...whew!!

Maybe the linka will be ok. I heard they are hard to keep. I think ours died from temperature shock. We were performing a water change and didn't notice the linka at the very top of the glass. By the time we noticied him, he was a good 10 inches above the water line right below the halides. Before we could refill the tank, about 60 gallons, he fell from the glass back into the water. He died a few days later. I think he got hot from the halides and then suddenly cooled again when he fell in the water.
