November Meeting

Randy, we'll schedule it for the evening. It's been a good long while since we've had an evening meeting. Maybe now Dave (CR Dave) can make a meeting that's not at the store.

What goes with white chili? I don't know. Maybe you guys can figure it out!

Cheese dip? Corn bread? Other bread? Good salsa? Beer or cider?

Looks like I am going to have to move to tentative on that weekend. A conflicting event has come up that I forgot about.

So somebody else should bring the cookies.

Do we have a time yet??? I'm signed up for the CCW class... I'll be bringing some brews... I've been on an Abita kick here lately... Don't know why but I'm not going to argue with it...

I'm planning to come, and I'll bring some of that cheddar and ale soup Mel was asking about at the bar after the last meeting.

Randy - if you'd like to pick the frag you want, you're welcome to stop by before the meeting (after probably wouldn't work because the lights will be out).

We seem lately to be having the meetings earlier and earlier, except when they're at the Coral Reef. So let's have a late afternoon/early evening one!

Ahhh - I missed thst too. That'd be fine Randy. This weekend would work if you'd like. I'll be doing field work out in Death Valley next week (leaving Sunday evening) and won't be back until the night before the meeting.

There are two theories about the bells. One is that the reference is to the costume of a court jester, including a fool's cap festooned with bells, thus perhaps alluding to the speaker's intention to appear "dressed to the nines" and ready to boogie.

The other theory harks back to the days of horse-drawn carriages, when on special occasions the horse's harness might be decorated with festive bells.
