NPS corals and Vacations?

For gorgonians, you can get away with dry feeding the for that period (FM foods) of time but for suns and dendros, I wouldn't try it. Both would need meatier types of foods (ie: mysis shrimp) and that is something that isn't easy setting up a refrigerated autofeeder for 3 weeks. If you can, have someone stop by 2-3 times a week to feed. Also I wouldn't think of letting my Azoox tank go 3 weeks without a water change.

Do dendros eat brine shrimp? Would a Continuos Hatch 'N' Feeder work? It would be as easy to just put some brine shrimp eggs into the feeder, For the person "tank sitting"
I want to make a big cave encrusted with dendros and sun corals etc. in my ULNS SPS reef. Bad Idea?
thnx

If they were very healthy and you fed heavily before you left you would be OK, IME. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it, and you'll likely come home to some ticked off coral, but they should be in good shape still.

Thnx everyone, I think I'll go for it!

I want to know how you can take 3+ week vacations? Im jealous. Im lucky if I can get 5 days
Lol I'm in Highschool, and money wise House exchange is the key. You stay in someones house they stay in yours, you clean up before you leave. No problems at all.
The stay is basically free, I've traveled 9 weeks with my parents through Europe, form house to house. You can exchange the car too.
If you are comfortable with people sitting in your house, it's a great Idea. Google it and you'll find a good website.
