NPX Bioplastics pellets vs Seachem Purigen

I have been using Seachem Purigen in a canister filter to control nitrates and it works nicely. Recently, I have been researching NPX Bioplastics pellets in consideration of doing the same task. I'm wondering if one is better than the other or if it's six of one and half a dozen of another. I'm always looking to improve my system, but, I also don't believe in fixing it if it's not broken.
All opinions encouraged and welcome. :D

I am one of those hobbyists who is very open minded and realizes there is most certainly "more than one way to skin a cat" in this hobby. If you have something that is working well for you I recommend sticking with it and not changing. If you want to experiment with carbon dosing in your system then I would recommend keeping everything the same and dosing vodka for a couple of months. If you're happy with the results you're seeing you could then considering stopping the manual vodka dosing and moving over to a pellet setup.

Just my thoughts anyways...

Thanks Jeremy, I appreciate it.
