Just sold my colony of these guys and went back to find a picture to see how fast they grow and was suprised.

WOW, these were fast growers....... 1 to about 10 polyps in a very short time.

They grow faster if fed everytime...

I had PC's at the time of the first picture, those got dragged under an overhang in the rockwork for a couple days by a hermit but they are fine now. Now I have MH lighting.

Did you keep any polyps?? I don't know why anyone would sell of a whole colony of those and not keep any. They are one of the most eye-catching morphs available IMO.

Yeah, kept 2 polyps, will be interesting to see how quick they do.

Bleh, growth on my group has been eternally slow. I've had two single tiny polyps since april. Now I have three tiny polyps, and one baby too small to open. These things have just never been happy in my tank and I don't know why.

I hate Purple Deaths

Bought one from a hobbyist for $40 + $35 for shipping, never opened.
Bought one from Ranran on here for around $40 and it got to 7 polyps, tried to frag off a polyp for a friend and killed the entire colony.
Bought another from someone else and it blew off the frag plug.
4th time is the charm, I have one on order and will have it on Wednesday, hoping for better results.

While I had the little colony going I noticed similar growth as the NG's, damn fast

mine grows all over the place. i got some on the sand, other rock and even on a shell. i got about 6 rock full of them
