Nuclear Green Paly Placement?

Where Should I place my Nuclear Green Paly? Its 1 head and not doing so good, currently its sitting about mid tank in my 40 breeder under a 250w Phoenix 14k, and its in a heavy flow area... The bottom of the fixture is about 7 inches off the water surface.

I've found Nuclear Greens do best when placed in moderate flow oriented so their oral disc is not flat to the light source. The frag disc below started with just a couple polyps on top. As you can see, months later there are none left on top but the disc is ringed with polyps sticking out from underneath.

My Polyp is slowly moving towards the side of the disc, so i'm assuming i should just let it

this thread was about 10 under yours. they do fine just about anywhere in the tank. check your parameters to make sure they are all good. but for a reference point mine are about 18"s under 150w halide on the sand.

I would place it at the bottom.

I agree under a 250 you are going to want them towards the bottom of your tank.

mine are towards the bottom along with some dark tubs blue- and have been doing well

I have mine towards the top of my tank and they are doing great. I have a 250w demh 14k and its about 14" from them. I'll try to post some pic's

Started mine at the bottom and moved them to the upper 2/3s of the tank. Get direct flow from my vortech and plenty of light from the 250 and they love it!
