I just faoud a 1/2 inch brown nudi in my 30 gal soft coral tank. Its about the same color as an SPS that came in as an extra "thank you for the purchase" piece in my last order. This is the sps, clicky The nudi has fleshy spines in groups of 2 running down either side of the body. I know with out a pic its not likley to get and ID, but if someone has a good resource for Identifying nudis id appreciate a link.

Best site is Sea Slug Forum <www.seaslugforum.net> but you have to know what group to search otherwise finding something is hopeless. I suspect your animal is a specialized predator on the coral it resembles and should be yanked out immediately!

yeah, im about to remove it, but its on the glass on the other side of the tank, so I cant just assume it came from the SPS...but it does look alot like it. Its hideing behind a powerhead right now, how easy are they to get off the wall? will i need a razor blade to scrape it off?

yes don't remember what it looks like but check for it in the book titled pocket guide to marine fishes by scott w michael

Here is a pic of it from reefready.net

Dang...its not mine. Cool lookin critter though, wish I had one for my tank. I got a piece of coral and missed the aiptasia...i keep killin em and they keep coming back.

Ive been using joes juice to kill the aiptasia....works great for me. I was just curious about the nudi, its in a cup next to my tank, I cant bring my self to kill it, but I cant put it back in the tank unless I know for a fact it wont eat my corals...and I dont know what it eats...so it looks like its going to starve... 8(
