I have a 30 gallon breeder that needs to be taken down due to a few different issues. My question here is , I have taken all of my softies out of the tank and all that remains is my clam and a few diff Monti caps , I dont want to risk moving any hitchhikers to one of my good tanks .... so what if anything can I do w/ the clam to make sure nothing hitchhikes over w/ it? ....

first i would like to ask, are you having any problems with the clam, hitchhikers on the clam?

what are you trying to ride the tank of? that will make a difference as to the treatment you may need to do.

Well the clam looks as good as ever , I haven't had any issues w/ it since i've had it . Basically what I am trying to do is rid the tank of Nudis , Red Slime , and various algae. My question I guess was , I want to move the clam to another tank so that I can take the tank itself down , I just don't want to risk a nudi (or anything else harmful) making it into the other tank .

ok, i would just take each clam out and brush the shell very well. i dont think there is any need to stress the clam any more then that.

if your trying to get ride of Monti Nudies they will be on the Monti's not the clams

Thanks for the reply... The montis seem to be doing well , so it is the zoo eaters im concerned w/ . The tank was supposed to be a dominated by zoos , Have since moved all the zoos and moved the clam as well , everything seems to be going well ....
