Nudibranch ID

The Kapenta Kid

Can anyone identify this nudibranch hithhiker that I found in my tank. The LR is mostly from Indonesia, but there is other LR of unidentified provenance in there.
The critter is more red in real life than the photo shows. You can certainly see why they are called sea hares.

Other than saying that it's a dorid nudibranch I really can't see enough detail to narrow it down any more than that. If you can get a clearer shot of the gill plumes and the head that would help a ton. Being a dorid it will feed on some sessile invert, most likely a sponge or bryozoan. It's harmless in the tank.

Sea hares and nudibranchs are actually in different orders, so are only very distantly related. Their most recent common ancestor was probably not very slug-like at all.

Thanxalot. If I can get a clearer pic I'll post it. I thought the hare like 'ears' made it a sea hare. Just shows, appearances can be deceptive
