Number of vortechs

I already have a vortech and going to get the WWD upgrade and was wondering if that would be enough for a 75 gallon tank(chaotic flow, ect....)or would two, one on each end be better? This would be for a SPS tank. Does one create enough of a back and forth motion? Thanks again, Ken

One should be plenty, however if it's exactly what you're looking for only you can say.

one vortech on a 75g should be more than enought to get a wave...

Id say jsut give it a try. I use 2 in my 120 gallon (1 on each side) to get a wave, I was playing around and tried it with 1 and it would try to get a wave but couldnt quite do it, i bet it would work in a 75.

We were able to get a 2" wave with two pumps in our 120 gallon this weekend. However, there was nothing in it so perhaps that's why.

Tim,

Did you have both pumps on one side or one at each end?

My 2 at each end I get about 3/4" to 1" wave. I have corner overflow box's do theres not really room for 2 pumps side by side adn if there was they would be just about touching.
