Hmmm... Actually I've talked with some hardcore aquarists that built shark lagoons which exceed 20,000 gallons - just for keep their sharks in. At least one of them actually has an adult Nurse(about 9' long last I heard) in his shark lagoon.

Wow. That is insane, but I love it. And I thought it was hard getting home owners insurance with a pit bull.

Yeah - pretty close.

But IIRC - the guy with 9' Nurse has is in a pool that is about 28' Diameter, with a depth of about 4.5'. Which roughly equals 21,000 gallons. And that one of the smaller Big sharks lagoons, that I've heard of.
