Nutramar Ova (or good picky QT food)

AZBigJohn

Usually confused...
I was wondering if anyone local carries Nutramar Ova, or if there is something else that anyone would recommend for getting picky fish in qt to eat?

I am looking to bring in a harem of anthias, and know they are notoriously hard to get eating in QT.

What does everyone recommend for getting those picky fish to eat in QT?

I picked up some Nutramar Ova at Reef Monster two or three weeks ago.

Anthias are zooplankton eaters so you might want to try some live foods just to get them to start eating. I think you know what I am talking about. After that LRS has some of the best & freshest ingredients for frozen food

Thanks for the idea! I had considered that to start, but was a little concerned with water quality in the QT, but in controlled amounts, the frequent water changes I do would keep up with it I'm sure!

I will certainly check out LRS, too.

My brother had some success with the daphnia(sp?) for frozen food on picky eaters like the purple queen anthias, probably mixing it with some live food first to get them going but it is very tiny bugs that are pretty nutritious.

Always make sure they are eating at least live brine at the store imo, at least shows a feeding response.
