Nuvo 15 Fusion -First Reef Tank

Seems the amiphods in my tank are finding their home on the heads of one my zoas. I gave the infested zoa a hydrogen peroxide dip and a ton of these guys came out. Going to look into a fish to handle these guys....with my tank size would a 4 or 6 line or possum wrasse work?

Four and Six Line Wrasses are generally recommended for tanks 30 gallons and larger. If you have that many pods, have you thought about a Scooter Blenny or Mandarin? As long as you can maintain/replenish the pod population, you should be good with either of those.

Darn on the wrasses :(....another exucse for upgrade lol?Id love a scooter or mandarin but will their small mouths be able to eat the larger amphipods ? I have a ton of smaller copepods in the system so not worried about them eating but do wonder if they will be able to help with the bigger guys .

@Paul B Has Mandarins and he harvests amphipods from the ocean to feed his fish. I assume his Mandarins eat the amphipods.

I'll give a Ruby Dragonet a shot ! Always wanted one anyways haha .

Off-topic: I made a thicker than usual Benereef slurry and the acans / button scoly had a crazy response

We were sold this coral as a "Hammer" but the more im looking at this thing the more im wondering if it was misidentified ? What's throwing me off is the branching of some polyps and the not overly hammer shape of the polyps .....frammer maybe?

Rockscape is not final*

Bought a Fluval Evo13.5 for the basement gaming cave 😅. This tank will help with the coral overflow from the Nuvo 15. I'll start a new thread for this 13.5 once things get settled.

Side note: kind of impressed with the stock lighting output. It does suck that its not app controlled but ive seen some par charts on it too and it's not too shabby. Might be worth keeping to keep the budget low

Awesome! I have one myself. I agree the stock lighting isn’t bad but it sucks that it lacks significant controllability

Do you have a build thread on yours ??? I did read that a AI Blade will fit the stock hood which is tempting. I hate evaporation on small tanks so that would be a plus to keep the hood

I don’t have a build thread no. It was a dump and run set up as a tank for a large portion of my softies
