Ok new tank set up in October, LR was transferred from 3yo tank. All equipment is new sand is new since October. LR from 80 gal about 150 lbs. To start new tank used all FSW from University California Santa Barbara (UCSB) through there Marie filtered system. Since then using salt mix and ro water for water changes 15 gal eavey 2 weeks, on a 120 tank with a 20 gal sump. All items in line CA450 MG 1320 PH 8.15-8.00 SL .026. I also run a PM Bullet 1 skimmer and a UV light and KR2 reactor with effluent chamber.
Now I have clear algae growing on the black glass and the overflows. Did not think it was a problem till it is now starting to grow on the rocks and parts of corals not the living tissue of the corals but the non living parts
So hear it is what is the algae and how do I get rid of it.
