O. scyllarus Distribution.

Dr. Roy or anyone else who might know...
Could you tell me how common peacocks are across the top of Australia I have seen photo's from the great barrier reef of one!
It's the only reference I have seen to a true O. scyllarus in Australian waters.

There's no point ordering any kind of mantis over here as peacock means "anything with a bit of color"!

I had given up on keeping one but after seeing the photo I WANT ONE!

Most reports of O. scyllarus in Australian waters are from Queensland with a few sightings in the Northern Territory. They are fairly common around One Tree and Lady Elliot and I have collected several from North Stradbrooke Island.
