Anyone know of a good repair service, fair price in Broward.?
My A/C went out today in my townhouse....seems to be blowing warm air

Did you reset your breaker? today is probablu OT @ 105 per hr. Push back the CB and then reset to see if it starts. You have 2 breakers 1 for the compressor and 1 for the fancoil. Good luck

i know some one. If you are just getting warm air then go check out side and see if the fan is spinning in the condensing unit.

I will give this a try.....:)

Well I reset the breaker and used my air compresser and blow out all the vents....the fan on the top of the unit outside is turning and blowing cooler air then in the house.......anyhow its best to just leave the AC unit off till I have someone look at it.??

BTW Carlos is going to swing by this week and take a look...:)

You can probably run for a couple of days without damage, I think the coil needs cleaning, and due to overheating + a hot day the CB tripped. To be 100% on the safe side, suffer till an AC guy looks at it.

I will leave it off....till I have it looked....(This week)
Thanks all...carlos I will keep in touch

There's two metal pipes that connect the condensing unit outside and the evaporator inside.
The smaller pipe is the discharge from the compressor and should be warm or hot to the touch.
The larger pipe is the return from the evaporator and should be cool or cold and sweating.
If both pipes are the same, neither hot nor cold, then you are probably looking at a compressor problem.
Could be something as simple and cheap as replacing a start capacitor.

Normally if it's dirty coils then you would have seen a gradual decrease in performance over a long time instead of an immediate change.

the AC does sound a little different went starting up.......maybe the compressor isn't starting......well left it off all day....now Im off to work
