Ok so I've been put into a situation where I now have a ball python on my hands and do not want to keep it. (Long story short: my douche of a neighbor let his ball python loose around our apartment complex because he is moving and didn't want to take it with him, so about 20 mins ago i walk out onto my patio and the snake is there hanging out, i have put him temporarily in a tank outside) I do not want to let him free just to get killed (huge animal lover). I will give him away to anyone who can give him a good home, seems to be pretty tame, was able to pick him up and put him in tank (even though i know he was stressed) please try and find this guy a home. thanks! please call me instead of PMing... 407 864 1263 Jessica

You may be able to find an exotic pet store to take him. I haven't moved up to Orlando yet, but I hear that Pet Bazaar in Casselberry is pretty good. Might be worth a shot...

Oh, and from one huge animal lover to another...you totally rock for taking that snake in! Too bad your douche of a neighbor wasn't more conscientious. Just letting that snake go is completely cruel, not to mention dangerous to other animals and pets.

yes pet bazaar is my last resort if no one is able to take him, i know the guys there pretty well so if need be he can go there. Yes believe me i am very pieved at the guy right now and if i see him it probably won't be pretty. my cat and dog were right behind me about to go onto the patio as i saw the snake sitting there. my cat doesn't know any better and could have very easily been bitten pretty bad. thank goodness i have experience handling snakes and could safely get him into the tank. i just do not understand a person that could do that to any animal, just so wrong. if my husband didn't dislike snakes i would keep it i feel so bad...

Thank you for taking care of the snake. I cannot take it but wanted to give you a virtual pat on the back for your caring and actions.

Just an FYI and not a criticism at all, but please do not place a snake, or any animal for that matter, outside in a tank. The inside of a tank gets much much hotter than the ambient temperature outside of the tank and more often than not, the animals over heats, quickly!

Again, it really wasn't a criticism, just an FYI for anyone who didn't know. :)

the tank was actually in a reptile stand i am selling, had a screen top for ventillation and was completely shaded and on my screened in patio, it did not get very hot in the tank.

people are idiots.. letting pythons (and other exoitc animals) loose in FL is what is causing huge issues due to invasive foreign species.. just letting 1 snake go can eventually end up completely devastating an entire local ecosystem... you should kick your neighbors dumb ***... :P
