O/T summer sports!

I don't doubt it, once you learn the balance involved it is probably no different then riding a bike. Something you never forget. Good to know i still could have lots of years to skate.

It was about 7 years maybe more since i stepped on a board. I got on and landed a few kick flips like it was nothing, but i have yet to get a good session in.

I used to live in Alden(farm land), So when i was only 14-15 yrs old i would catch a bus to the city of buffalo for 8 hrs then catch the bus home. If my parent had known at the time they would have freaked. We went threw some nasty neighborhoods. lol

yeah, I mean, it isn't exactly easy for my friend. he definitely lives with a lot of ankle pain and stuff, but he's a really determined guy. I'm 34 and tore my ACL a few years ago and I desperately need shoulder surgery I've been putting off, so I've slowed down more than him.

one thing that's really progressed in the past 10 years or so is concrete skatepark design. if you can take a road trip to a grindline, dreamland or breaking ground park, you should totally do it. especially if you like skating bowls at all.

I play football with a bunch of buddies on Saturdays at barnard park in rochester. If anyone is interested let me know (PM). It is tackle, but no one has gotten hurt too badly.

Family's into boating which includes a lot of tubing, and an occasional waterski trip. I run a fair amount, approx 25 - 30 miles per week; and currently am planning on running the Buffalo Half Marathon the end of this month with my daughter and a buddy from work. Been lifting weights a couple times a week for probably the last 25 years. You would think I'd be getting better by now but I think I'm at that age where not going backwords is a win. Also known to carry multiple 5 gallon pails of salt water on weekends. - Mark

Photography is my sumer sport, lol. I love to get out and get some shots of anything that is going on. Flanders, I sure wish you were closer. I'd love to get some shots of your friend. Been to the Webster skate park a couple times and never seem to get anyone on a board but the kids on bikes are pretty darn good. Here are a couple I took recently.

I heard about the Kickball League a couple months ago and have been waiting for the season to start. Looks like it would be a blast to get some photos of these folks.

Kat, Google is your friend. Search Rochester Kickball and it'll come right up.
