Oak trim molding/moulding?

Do you guys know where one could find oak trim/base pieces?

I am looking for corner pieces and possibly base pieces as well. I have looked around and can't seem to find any.

All the Home Depots had it in Ohio when I was just there, but none have it here.....nor does Lowes. The cabinet shops I've checked have thier own suppliers and won't get me any...I guess they get everything pre-assembled.

Thanks!!

not to sure if they carry trim and moulding but you could try cox lumber may be worth a try i dont know.

There are two speciality lumber stores downtown lakeland. One's name is Joyner, just north of the Lakeland center. They're the source of a lot of speciality wood used to restore the older homes in the historic district. I'll bet they have lot's of unusual stuff.

they are in largo. I have been to there shop and they have maple, birch, oak baseboards. chair rails 1/4 rounds, 90degree corners. about 25-30 different shapes and sizes. best stock I have seen yet. not very freindly or helpful but they have the stuff.

Thanks for the help guys!

I called Joyner, but could not get a person....I got a little impatient, so I just drove out to Weiss Hardwoods.

It's a cool place, but you're right robthorn, they are not very friendly or helpful. There were some women (customers) in there that were pretty entertaining to listen to while they were driving the workers nuts....:) One of them said that catnip caused her friend to get really sick/rashy and her friends were like, "oh my gosh", and freaking out for about 5 minutes...... when I mentioned if she meant catscratch fever, and she said, "oh my, that's what I meant". One of them was saying how she was going home and throwing out all the catnip she had.
Cheap comic relief.....

It is a good thing I checked ahead with what they had in stock though, or it would have been a wasted trip.

They do have a variety of woods on hand too....thanks for the tip!

Yes I did....

I looked at thier site, and picked out what I wanted so I didn't spend all day there. Of the 3 I picked out they had 1 in stock, so that made the decision easy.

I'll have to check out that too amheck.....it's always good to compare a few places, especially if the info found can result in a better deal.
