OC Behavior <video>

So, I got my first Oc. clown the other day.

It didnt eat, and kinda stayed in the corner for a day or so.. then yesterday I was able to get it to eat really tiny flake dust..

Today, I added the smaller one.. and that little bugger immediately started nibbling on anything and everything floating past his face..

After just a minute or 2 of 'shimmying' and a few harmless pecks on one another.. I noticed my first Oc. behaving in a much more relaxed manner than it had been prior..

Now the two meander around the rocks looking like best buddies..

I mean.. they barely leave each other's side for more than 2 seconds..

They keep doing this little dance around one another... no pecking or chasing at all, and neither seems in the least bit agressive.. when one wanders.. the other will catch right up to his side..

I'm wondering is all this still posturing for dominance? Or do they just dig each other's company?

What do you think?

BTW: When I dropped some crumbled flake in today.. both of them vigorously attacked the food at the surface until it was gone... the big one had not done that prior.. It almost seems like the addition of the little guy really brought the bigger one out of it's shell..

hmm that sounds like its a little too small to be a mature but who knows. Clowns can be social fish maybe they just like each others company.

Well its been over 24 hours and they never leave each other's side so far...

It's kinda cute.. :lmao:

Baby clowns show dominance over each other as soon as they go through metamorphosis. They also bunch together for security. You are seeing both behaviors. Both of them look very thin. You need to get more food into them.

Well, they seem to be voracious eaters.. so that shouldnt be a problem..
