I am assuming foundation shifted under tank over last 10 years. I the area I live foundations repair is very common.
Questions:
What is dry weight?
Should tank be 100% disassembled to reseal?
Is the glass tempered?
Is plastic trim necessary for tank? Would removing trim change strength?
Does any company make production brick tank now? 3/2014?
Lucky for me tank animals are at all time low due to remodeling and divorce so moving fish an remaining coarls to 2d tank and remote sump is easy. Moving 215 and rebuilding is more interesting. I am considering 2 x 4 lumber, plywood and wheels to make rolling large work bench. If I decide to actually keep this tank a interesting build will come out of this. I have complete freedom to integrate this into wall and have so in past. Most equipment is in closet and sump is in ajacent room. My plan was to convert stand to sump, but time never permitted. I would like to reduce height by 12" if glass can be cut. Also this is custom drilled standard tank with 3 holes in center rear and glass overflow box. Again all future plumbing is completely open to modification. I have retro fitted 1/2 into wall and have ability and tools to change pretty much anything. Cost is big factor however so Squid maybe out!
