... trying to work out a price on my stuff. Worst case scenario, I'll probably just get a regular SS and buy the pump elsewhere and plumb it myself unless they want to make it worth my while. In other words, I'll still be ordering something!

new tank is good. only thing I don't like about it is the fact that Gen wouldn't go with all polycast acrylic, instead he sorta told me he was going to use plexi g for some parts because of cost. That dissapointed me since it felt like he wasn't going for the extra effort to get me all polycast, and was somewhat cutting costs. Socalcreations gave me a great tank with all polycast acrylic, even the black back. I'm glad your friend got the polycast left over from my tank.

Gen's workmanship is great, no doubt about it. I'm terribly happy with it. But again, if I had a choice now I would've gone with socalcreations and paid extra for shipping.



Back on topic: SEAN FITZ has dissapeared and hasn't given me anymore information on what drum version, and waiting on merseyman to get things squared away =)

As for the cash payments, I think I will just have everyone drop off their cash at my house by slipping it through the mailbox slot, or paypal adding the 5%.

Either way works. So if you'd like to drop cash off, please give me a PM and I'll return it with my address =) When you come to drop the cash off, make sure you have my name on it along with your own, and make sure water isn't streaming down my front steps either ;)
 
Couple questions:
If Sean Fitz no shows, will we still get the 20%? That makes it only 10.
Is the earliest we can order this June 19th? I guess even if we got all the payments in right away, we will still have to wait until after June 19 to take delivery since it will be shipped to Kinetics house. Since thats the case, can I wait to deliver you payment on June 18. I'd feel better handing you the cash then having it sit in a mailbox for 10 days.

no we can order it before June 19th. It won't be in a mailbox, it will be through the slot into my house, and I will have someone collect the mail every day and put the money into the bank for me.

So the faster everyone gets the money to me, the faster we can get this order through.

... OK, here's what I'm doing: buying just a wired SS (V.2) in the group buy ($164? same as gosluggo and 750reefer) and buying the snapper directly from OM, which they'll ship to my home. So confirm that price for me and I'll pay up. Cheers.
 
Is Sean Fitz still MIA? Also with GorillaReefer out, it looks like we may be short 2. If we cannot get this going soon I think I may back out myself and purchase on my own. Who knows when we can get the replacement people to join the GB or will we still be able to get the 20%
 
... OK everybody, either you're in or out now. It's totally unfair to everyone involved for people to be dropping off at this point. I'm going to try and make my 1st BAR meeting tomorrow. Can I pay somebody there the $172? Otherwise I'll just eat the extra 5% and paypal it. Let's make this happen.
 
... I'd certainly be willing to collect the cash @ the meeting as well, if some of yous will be there and no one else wants to do it.

carloskoi, I'm not sure regarding shipping to LA. The GB will be shipped to one address here in the Bay Area. I guess you would pay to have it shipped to you from the Bay Area. You would have to ask Kinetic
 
... I get a great Fedex discount and would be willing to ship to carloskoi if he'd like when I pick mine up. So long as it's not something really heavy (like a large pump) I can usually do it for $8-15. I'm also going down to visit friends in the los feliz neighborhood sometime and could possibly bring it down then.
There was someone a page or 2 back from socal who was interested also, if we need more.

ok now that i am interested, i may only want one 8 outlet unit for my new tank.

but first i have some questions.

how long do these things last?

if i drill the bottom of my acrylic tank and put in a bulkhead how long do they last?

what kind of problems have people had with them?

Merseyman, it wold be great if you are coming to LA to bring them. i am in no hurry. i am planning the next tank right now and acummulating some stuff for it. the build is several months away.
