Is anyone using these anymore on large tanks? I'm in the planning stages and was thinking of getting a 4 way. On two of them would be sea swirls the other two would just be regular nozzles. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

ca1ore - are you using a closed loop or plumbing over the back/side of tank? If have pictures please post how your are delivering water to the tank.

It's a closed loop, but I only use two of the four OM openings. Suction and dual returns are bulkheaded through the top of the back panel. I am no longer comfortable, nor would I recommend, drilling bulkheads through the bottom panel of the tank. I will try to find a picture.

I am not planning to use on a closed loop but was hoping that the varied flow along with ph, and sea swirls I could get some really good random flow. Thanks in advance for trying to find the pictures.

I am using it on a closed loop, with a Red Dragon pump,I also vary the flow throughout the day.I am using Sea Swirls on the returns which is also driven by a Red Dragon pump, which is on constantly.

Check my build thread "The after disaster 650 gallon build" I have some pics there, just do a search in large tank forum.

fixmgood - I think the sea swirls are going to be great on my tank. Any issues with your sea swirls as far a reliability?

sorry, no pics of the OM unit (and it's buried where I cannot easily take a picture).

ca1ore - It's fine thanks for checking to see if you had and available.

fixmgood - man your thread starts off painful. That front glass blow out was crazy. I caught up on your thread and thanks for sharing.

nightOwl Sea Swirls are working great. I sent one back to them a few months ago because it was making a clicking noise. It was something to do with the alignment of a pin,so far no other issues. They took care of it,good customer service.

fixmgood - Good to know I have brought two used and hopefully they will continue to work well. I have been slowly accumulating stuff for the new tank. Which reminds me I need to call the potential builder today.

I think I'm going to take this advice. I never liked the idea of a bulkhead seal going bad that's on the bottom, essentially draining every bit of life out of the tank. Having the glass drilled at least three fourths the way up seems the long term sane advice.
