Ocellaris Clowns Hide in the Corner

I have a small male and female pair of ocellaris clowns that I bought tank raised. I have had them for about eight or nine months now in my 29 BioCube. They never swim about the tank, or come out of the extreme upper corner of the tank, always hiding behind my Seneye. The only time they venture out is at feeding time where they will snap up some food and then hurry back to the corner.

The only other fish in the tank is a small firefish and a lawnmower blenny. The clowns are bigger than either of these two fish. I also have a bubble tip anemone that the clowns completely ignore and have since day one.

They are beautiful fish, seem very healthy, but they always seem afraid of something. What can I do?

Clownfish are not big tank swimmers. They will take a fancy to a particular spot and will not stray to far from it. I have a pair of clowns who are being hosted by my frogspawn. I have two BTA in my tank and they ignore both of them. They will sometimes stretch out to the other side of the tank, but when they do they dash right back when they realize they have strayed to fair and feel vulnerable.

If they are eating well and look it good condition, no obvious signs of illness don't worry, its just what they do leave them be trying to force them out of an area they feel secure in will stress them out. They may never be hosted by your BTA, but one day you may look in your tank and they would of set up home, there is just no guarantees they are wierd.

Nothing to worry about, like fish keeper said, they are not big swimmers, I have heard of people putting a picture of clowns in an anemone on the glass by where their clowns hang out and it is supposed to help them move to the anemone. I have never tried it so not sure it actually works.
