Ocellaris clowns hosting corner of tank?

So i have a pair of ocellaris clowns that i got when they were just old enough to be taken out of the breeder tank and put into a reef tank. They have both done well and one is deffently a male and one is deffently a female. the female signficantly bigger than the male. Both of them have been hanging out in the back corner of my tank but in the middle of the corner not the bottom. Is it possible that they have hosted this corner? Sounds werid but they spend alot of time there. They dont look stressed and are eating just fine. The female will actually bite at my finger when i put it in the tank. I guess they like the corner better than the 3 RBTA's that are in there.

I have experienced similar behavior in the past. They use to stick to the left hand side on the front besides the powerhead. No matter what I would do they wouldn't move. I added a bta, hammers and a cat and they still preferred that spot. One day they just started exploring and started hosting the cat. It took them about 8mths to move to the cat.

Alright. Ive had them for somewhere around 5 months. Ive started taping pictures to the tank of clowns in anemone's and gona start shining a light on the anemone at night to try to get them to host it.

Totally normal behavior IMO, every clown I have owned has "hosted" a tank corner for some period of time. I'd guess it's probably more common in smaller tanks, but I've never had anything above a nano so it's just a theory... :)

This might be just my case.

This might be just my case.

This might be just my case but.. My wild caught perc hosted an RBTA right away and 2 of my tank bred percs hosted a mag float in the corner of the tank. the 2 tank bred percs were in different tanks. Check out the pics.

I have a perc who hosts the corners of my 6 gallon nano. He started in my 75 gallon, which had two available GBTAs and a more than willing mature female. He just would not leave the corner. Stayed there for 6 months. He would swim with the female if she came to him, but he would not follow her back to the anemone.

I moved him to my nano at work about 9 months ago, and in the front left or right corner he stays. He even defends his corner from the marauding snails and hermit crabs who like to invade periodically. He comes out to feed, actually makes quite a pig of himself, and he interacts with the other fish fine, but that corner is HIS!

I just added two Black Ocellaris Clowns to my 120 gallon tank yesterday and the male will occasionally roam the tank but the female stays in the back right corner of the tank pretty much all the time. I am happy to read that this is normal behavior because I was starting to worry.
