Ocellaris fungus

I have had a pair of ocellaris for about eight months. Recently I noticed a small area on the males right fin that has a white fungus. It hasn't spread much and he has been eating and swimming normally but the fungus has shown no sign of going away. It doesn't look like ich or any other disease I know of. Does anyone have any sugestion on a treatment option. I would also like to note that I would prefer not to use copper.

Without a picture, it is hard to say. I would lean more towards bacterial, viral (Lymphocystis), or parasitic (Brooklynella) than fungal.

I tried to get a shot but my camera doesn't have the capability to get enough detail from the area. But I also forgot to mention that the disease grows in a series of white dots. It doesn't look like ich because it is locallized.

I would like to know this myself because i just noticed it on my male true perc. I will try to get a pic. dont know if i will be abel. What is the best way to get rid of it? Is it contagious?
