Ocellaris Hosts

My two clowns where being hosted by a RBTA just fine. This took about three months. The RBTA hosted them for about a month with the male in it the majority of the time. They then quit going in the nem and started hanging out wherever. This took place over about a month. Now my small torch is hosting the male.

I know that clowns will take to just about anything in the tank. Even heard one thought a powerhead was hosting it.

My question, and I know a BTA is not a natural host in the wild for ocellaris clowns, but is there any reasoning for leaving a nem and moving to other objects.

No change in location, lights, or water parameters. I only moved the torch and it was not moved to a location the clowns particularly hung out in.

Thanks,
Will

I think clowns do whatever they want to do. They have their natural hosts, but within a tank, they may leave or never go into a natural host.

Perhaps they like the current in a different area of the tank.
