Well, I got a small ocellaris from my LFS the other day, sold as a 'percula clown' but duly acknowledged to be ocellaris. He's about 1.5" and has black shading in his anterior dorsal fin, and on his middle orange bars, coming downward from his spine.
I've heard mention of these guys responding to low light conditions (my tank's pretty low light). I haven't really been able to find anything conclusive on when a juvenile black ocellaris starts turning black though, so i wonder... Did i get a black and white for the price of a standard?
Sorry my camera doesn't pick up the color very well, but i hope this gives you a decent idea of what i'm talking about.
Any insight is greatly appreciated!
