Cryptic Sins

Hey, I have had a freshwater 100-gallon tank for about a year now, and I wanted to switch over to the wonderful world of Marine Life. But the Octopus has caught my eye GREATLY, and I want one very very badly, but needless to say I don't want a 100 gallon tank with only Octopus'. Are there any type fish that I can safely mix without the Octopus going on a feeding rampage??

There's an octo forum here on RC. I've never owned one, but I know several people who have (with good results) - both kept bimacs. In general, they are best kept in smaller tanks (vs a 100gallons) since they will easier to feed. They really shouldn't be kept with much else.

So, check on the Octo forum and BUY CATIVE BRED only.

Good luck

i have kept several and in fact, tried feeding some of mine with damsels occasionally. i only ended up with damsels swimming around and an octo that would bat the damsel right in the head if it got to near its den. even when i would feed silversides to my octos, they would chew on them a bit and spit them out. they really love crustaceans though

I feed mine black mollies I've herd you can keep long spiny urchins with the but have never done that. Most fish are either going to eat the octo or get eaten by the octo
