Hi All,

I was planning on getting a bimac from ffe...well Skipton's, a LFS in Boston says they have 2 aquacultured octos but they don't know what type they are. They said they are very small, couple of inches. How can I tell if its a bimac or not? I want a bimac because its my undersatnding that a) they are not nocturnal and b) aren't as prone to escape. How can I tell if they are bimacs or not?

Thanks!!!

If they are comming from CA and are aquacultured they have to be bimacs. When young they can tend to look yellowish and they will still have the false eye spots on them. I know of no other species other than bimaculoides being breed in captivity.
