October 20th at the cleveland zoo in the primates building! 7:30 be there!
It will be a garage sale like last January's meeting--members can bring unwanted dry goods to sell. It seemed to be very popular last year--a chance to pick up some bargains and meet everyone.

This year is an added feature--the club will be selling off equipment that was donated to us by a local vendor that closed up shop in the late 90's. Three pickup truck/van loads of stuff that we are still sorting through. Lots of older ballasts (NO, VHO, MH), plumbing parts, RO unit filters, bioballs, acrylic pieces, base rock, etc. We are not exactly sure how we are going to handle this yet. I Members only sale, and I expect the prices will be very good. We may have to limit the amount any one individual can purchase (don't want to see a dozen ballasts on ebay the next day . . .). There is also a ~ 300g acrylic tank, used but in good condition, that we will be likely auctioning off.
All are welcome to come take part in the savings. If you've got something you'd like to sell post it here and maybe you'll gets some bites on it before the meeting. Hope to see lots of new faces

I'm pretty sure I will be bringing a Remora PRO HOB skimmer with Mag5 pump and maybe a Berlin XL with turbo pump. I had it at the swap for $100 and nobody took it so I may be coming down a bit on that price.
I am also considering taking down my metal halides and selling them off. I have 2x single end MH with mogul sockets and PFO parallel reflectors with 2- 48" T5 supplementation, one on each side. They are 2- 24" PFO reflectors with a little wooden skeleton frame to hold them in place. I have Advance magnetic ballasts to go with them. 2- 250w and 2- 175w. At the moment I only have one 10k XM 250w running and no other bulbs to offer with this setup. I might get some pics up soon... or not depending on how motivated I become. It is actually 4 of THESE with a mogul socket in each and t5 in the "parallel" part.

I also have 2 75g AGA stands I am going to keep one for a table base but could sell one if anyone wants it. One is the particle board and oak color. The other is solid pine and pine color with some light scratches from the previous owner's cat.

Anyone else have some junk to sell?

If anyone has any defective, yes non-working Maxijet 1200 pumps I will take them off of your hands. I want to try doing some mods to my Maxijets and need some extra used parts to experiment with.

I have a new 8 watt one for up to 50 gallons. Too small for most of my tanks and certainly my ponds so I never set it up.

The tank for auction that is stored here is acrylic. It is 96Lx24Wx30 high. Tank has crazing, overflow on one end, return lines on opposite end. Others who have seen it can pipe in on more of their observations.

Here's a partial list of some things I'll be bringing to the sale on Friday:

1. A complete 60 gallon AGA tank with stand and hood. Slightly used. In fact, the hood never came out of the box. Built-in bulkhead and plumbed.

2. A custom made 75 gallon bowfront/bowback tank with a matching stand. The stand and tank trim are black. Very cool looking tank. You won't find another like it.

3. A Coralife super skimmer

4. a wet/dry box with sump and bioballs

5. One Catalina 1800 pump

6. 12 gallon nanocube with heater and powerhead upgrade (slightly used) Comes with brand new bulb and a spare. Complete plug and play.

7. One Millenium 3000 hang on filter

8. Plenty of odds/ends I'm too lazy to list here.

I'm not going to tax my brain to price these items this moment. (sort of takes from the spirit of "garage sale"). Generally speaking, most everything will be priced at 1/2 or less of list price. The only PM I'll entertain before the sale on Friday is a trade for either a 175 or 250 watt metal halide pendant/bulb/electronic ballast for the 75 gallon tank and stand (with glass top).
